Training through entertaining

Have you heard about Disney’s recent downturn in revenues ? Something close to a quarter of last year’s records. Well, it’s true. Even though people are still procreating and children are everywhere, emptying mom and dad’s pockets. It looks like they (the children) favour now some other types of entertainment. Savings for instance. Because they’re probably rather not going to that boring amusement park but instead stay at home, cook with mom or watch the game with dad.
No really, what’s the use for all those fun things ? During times of recession it looks like even kids take more care about where to spend their pocket money. So it’s only natural that the big A-list companies cut back on their spendings as well. For instance they stop investing in the human capital, by giving up the usual training sessions and by“giving away” those expensive “commodities” with high payrolls.
Isn’t funny ? Of course not in the Walt Disney style of fun, because that’s going down (for now). But isn’t funny if you think about it ? Following a run down human resources management approach can indeed change the face of tomorrow’s business. The future professionals will definitely look better than today’s old bores. That’s what being 20 years of age does to you, right ? And today’s players, tomorrow’s old bores (don’t mind me saying it out loud), will get retired on the average pension of today’s harsh economic reality. This is what saving money does to you. It puts you in the race for the next “man of the year” title. And spending it without an extra-care makes you a head toe to the next CEO. Mr. KID Sir…

Asteptam criticile dumneavoastra si va multumim pentru aprecierile dezinteresate postate la vedere (aici nu se dau, nici nu se primesc atentii). Se primesc totusi atentionarile dumneavoastra si vizitele inopinate. Cateodata si cele anuntate. Si uneori suntem atenti la ceea ce postam, dar de cele mai multe ori ne pasa ceea ce comentati dumneavoastra. Dar negam orice legatura cu micile atentii mentionate anterior. Noi facem lucruri mari si bune. Incercam sa evitam micimea.
